Issued as part of the Music Legends series, the Brilliant Uncirculated coin was issued in 4 different sleeves 3 of which exclusive to the mint with an issue limit of 15,000. The coin was also struck in a variety of denominations and metals including colourised silver proof, silver proof and gold proof. The BU mintage comprised Royal Mint packs of ‘Rocket Man’ (19,129 sales), ‘Dodger Stadium’ (7,124 sales), ‘Illustration’ (4,408 sales), ‘Very Best Of’ (4,095 sales) and third party trade packaging (5,750 sales).

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by sculptor Jody Clark, which is the fifth portrait of the Queen to appear on British coins. This portrait was specifically created to commemorate the Queen's 90th birthday and features a more mature and regal image of the Queen, compared to previous portraits.
