Comment
The Cuban Crocodile is one of the smallest species on the crocodile genre; usually is less than 3.5m long (Nile and Sea Crocodiles can reach 7 m.) and his habitat is small; currently most of them live at Cienaga deZapata natural reserve. Also is the most "terrestrial" with longer legs, owing to the lack of mammal predators in the island. His diet is based on small mammals and birds from firm ground, but still hunts fishes and other acuatic animals.

Interesting fact
The 5 Pesos (Cuban Crocodile) coin from Cuba, minted in 1981, is made of .999 silver and weighs 12 grams. One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design of a crocodile on its obverse side, which is not commonly seen on coins. The crocodile is depicted in a standing position, with its mouth open, and its tail curled around its body. This design was created by the Cuban artist, Enrique Garcia Cabrera, and it is said to represent the strength and resilience of the Cuban people.
