One interesting fact about the 5 Pence - Elizabeth II (4th portrait, magnetic) 2012-2016 from Jersey (British Crown dependencies) coin is that it was the first coin to feature a new portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which was designed by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. This portrait was introduced in 2012 and was used on all British coins, as well as coins from the Crown dependencies, including Jersey. The use of a new portrait was significant because it marked a departure from the traditional depiction of the Queen that had been used on coins for decades.
