Comment

In the middle of 1976 the final accent over the Urdu script at the top right of the obverse was changed from zabar (a straight slash) to pesh (thicker on one end) on Silver and Gold coins. Therefore Hakumat became Hukumat from 1977 all circulation coins.

Interesting fact

The 5 Paisa (FAO) coin from Pakistan, minted between 1974 and 1981, was made of aluminum, which is a relatively lightweight metal. Despite its small weight of 1.25 grams, the coin still maintained its value as a form of currency during its time in circulation. This is a unique feature compared to many other coins, which often have a higher weight due to their metal content.
