The Song of Songs is perhaps the most exalted of literary love songs. Judaism views the book, also known as the Song of Solomon, as a dialogue between G-d and the Children of Israel and an expression of His eternal love.For some the songs are viewed simply and compassionately as an expression of innocent, pastoral love.
