History:This is the second "5 milliemes" coin issued by UAR. In 1967, a presidential decree was issued to authorize minting this coin which is made of aluminum to replace the older "5 Milliemes 1960" - see links - due to the increase of copper price. This also happened to the "10 Milliemes 1967" -see links.
