Varieties
1960 - Standard Circulated Coin:
On the 1st of October 1960, A Presidential decree was issued to change the common circulated coins design by replacing the Sphinx by the republican coat of arms :Saladin's Eagle. However due to the increase in copper prices, the ministry of finance demonetized the coin, recalled it and was replaced by aluminum magnesium coin dated 1967 (See linked coins).

1966 - Non Circulated Mint Proof Coin
In 1966 a mint proof commemorative Eagle set was minted which included a sealed 7 Eagle coins including this coin
