Interesting fact

The Johannes Brahms 5 Mark coin from the German Democratic Republic (GDR) was designed by artist Heinz Gödecke and features a portrait of the famous composer on the obverse, while the reverse side depicts a scene from his opera "Hansel and Gretel." This coin was part of a series of commemorative coins issued by the GDR in the 1970s to honor notable German artists and musicians.
