Interesting fact

The obverse of the coin features the logo of the Romanian Academy, which is a shield with a golden eagle at its center, surrounded by two branches of laurel. The eagle is holding a scroll in its beak, which symbolizes the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. The logo was designed by the Romanian artist, Ioan C. Botescu, and it has been used by the Romanian Academy since its founding in 1866.
