Interesting fact

The 5 Kopecks coin from the Russian Empire, minted during the reign of Elizabeth (1758-1762), features an interesting design element. The obverse side of the coin bears the image of a crowned Elizabeth, while the reverse side features the coat of arms of the Russian Empire, surrounded by a wreath. This design was a departure from the traditional design of Russian coins, which typically featured the imperial eagle on the reverse. The use of the wreath and coat of arms on the 5 Kopecks coin was a nod to the Western-style coins that were popular in Europe at the time. This design change was a significant departure from the traditional Russian coinage design and showed the influence of Western culture on Russian numismatics during Elizabeth's reign.
