Interesting fact

The Pattern 5 Jiao coin was designed by the Central Mint of the Republic of China in 1948, and it features a portrait of Chiang Kai-shek, the former leader of the Republic of China, on the obverse side. The reverse side of the coin depicts the value of the coin, "5 Jiao," surrounded by a wreath of wheat and a Chinese characters that read "Republic of China." The coin was made of copper and has a diameter of 23.5mm. It's worth noting that the Pattern 5 Jiao coin was never officially circulated, as it was only a pattern coin, which means it was produced as a trial or sample coin and not intended for general circulation. This makes it a rare and valuable collector's item for numismatists interested in the history of Chinese currency.
