Comment

The commemorative coin is dedicated to a stringed striking instrument, well known in Ukraine – tsymbaly (hammered dulcimer variety) consisting of a trapezoidal wooden frame with metal strings, which is played with two beaters (sticks or hammers) against the strings. The tsymbaly (pl.) have a reach musical palette and are used by folk instrumental ensembles (for example, troisti muzyky – a sort of a consort of three instruments; troisti = triple).
