This coin commemorates the dolphin and its representations in cultural monuments from various epochs. These monuments were created by the tribes and peoples that inhabited Ukraine and made a significant contribution to the world collection of antiquities. The tribes and peoples that inhabited Ukrainian lands for thousands of years created a culture and handed it down to future generations. The respect these peoples had for nature, animals in particular, was reflected in their beliefs and religions.Interesting fact
The Dolphin coin's design features a jumping dolphin on the obverse (front side), surrounded by waves and the Ukrainian letter "Д" (which stands for "Dolphin"). The reverse (back side) of the coin features the coat of arms of Ukraine and the inscription "УКРАЇНА" (Ukraine) in bold letters. The coin's designer, Volodymyr Taran, aimed to create a symbol of Ukraine's connection to the sea and its rich marine life.
