The commemorative coins are dedicated to the famous architectural and historical monument of XII century – St. Cyril Church in Kyiv, wherein the Grand Duke Sviatoslav, a hero of the Ancient Rus poem “The Lay of Igor’s Campaign” was buried in 1194.

Interesting fact

The St. Cyril Church coin was designed by Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Demianenko and features a depiction of the historic St. Cyril Church in Kyiv, which was built in the 12th century and is considered one of the most important landmarks of Ukrainian architecture.
