The commemorative coin is dedicated to the smithcraft, i.e. treatment of iron by the hot forging techniques. As early as in the Xth-XIIth centuries the skills of smiths reached such a high level that some of the iron treatment methods and processes for manufacture of tools and household goods have remained practically unchanged to this day.
