The commemorative coin is dedicated to the centenary of performance of the loop-the-loop aerobatic maneuver known also as Nesterov's loop. For the first time the maneuver was performed on August 27, 1913, by Pyotr Nesterov in the sky over Kyiv (Syrets military airfield) before numerous spectators' eyes.
