Interesting fact

The 5 Hryven (AN-140) 2004 coin from Ukraine features an image of a traditional Ukrainian Easter egg, known as a "pysanky," on its reverse side. Pysanky are intricately decorated eggs that are a symbol of new life and renewal in Ukrainian culture. They are typically made using a wax-resist method, where designs are applied to the egg using melted wax, and then the egg is dyed. The wax is then removed, revealing the intricate patterns and designs. The use of a pysanky on the coin serves as a nod to Ukraine's rich cultural heritage and traditions.
