Comment
The commemorative coin is dedicated to the capital of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, an administrative and cultural centre, the city of Simferopol (in Greek - city of common good). The city is situated in the Salhir River valley on the natural border between the mountainous and plain Crimea. The city development started in 1784, but a part of the valley where the city is located had been populated from the earliest times.Interesting fact
The interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the city of Simferopol in Ukraine, and it features an image of the city's historic center on one side and the Ukrainian coat of arms on the other.
