The Pattern 5 Groszy coin was designed by Polish artist and sculptor, Antoni Madeyski, and was minted in 1923 as a trial strike. It features a portrait of a young woman wearing a traditional Polish crown on the obverse side, and the Polish coat of arms on the reverse side. The coin was never officially released into circulation, making it a rare and valuable collector's item.
