The obverse of this essay was used for the 1988 100 Franc coin (see link)."We don't know for what reason Fraternité was celebrated in 1988, but the choice of this theme for the essay produced for the 5 Francs coin in the 1848 competition by Jacques-Jean Barre is excellent [...]".
