The Aqueduct of Ferreres is part of the Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco, declared World Heritage by UNESCO. It is located on the outskirts of the city of Tarragona and has a length of 217 meters and a maximum height of 27 meters. It was built by the Romans in the 1st century AD. C. to supply water from the Francolí River to the city that was the capital of the Roman province of Hispania Citerior, the largest in the Empire.
