Reverse
The other side shows two heads in profile and one en face. These figures represent the entirety of the people as sovereign. A watchful eye surrounded by stylized laurel leaves can be seen in the left half of the design. In the background on the right you can see a section of the Austrian parliament building. In the upper area of the democracy coin and deepened in the relief you can read: "Austria is a democratic republic." In the lower left area is the continuation of the text: "Your rights emanate from the people." This is Article 1 of the Austrian Federal Constitutional Law (B-VG)
