Comment

5 Euro silver 2010 Dutch World Championship Football. A NON-ISSUED 5 Euro coin, made in case the Netherlands would become the 2010 Football World Champions. The Royal Dutch Mint had a coin issue ready. All coins that had already been struck were destroyed after the unfortunate loss against Spain, and were NOT circulated.

Interesting fact

The coin features a unique design that combines the image of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands with the logo of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which was held in South Africa. The coin was minted to commemorate the Netherlands' participation in the tournament, and its unique design makes it a sought-after collector's item among coin enthusiasts and football fans.
