Interesting fact
The 1997 Liberian Year of the Monkey coin features an error in its design. The coin's obverse (front) side features a portrait of a monkey, but the monkey's tail is incorrectly depicted as being on the wrong side of its body. Instead of being on the left side, as it should be for a monkey, the tail is depicted on the right side. This error has become a popular topic among collectors and has increased the coin's uniqueness and value.
