Interesting fact
The Easter Island statues featured on the coin are called Moai, and they were created by the early Rapa Nui people between 1200 and 1500 AD. The statues are monolithic human figures carved from volcanic rock, with an average height of 13 feet (4 meters) and weighing up to 86 tons. Despite their size, the Moai were moved across the island using only manual labor and log rollers, a feat that still puzzles archaeologists today.
