Comment

The coin was issued only as part of a Coin & Stamp Set with a pair of $1 stamps (one mint, one cancelled) featuring a similar walrus family design. The coin and stamps were housed in a hinged wooden case. It was part of the Canadian Wildlife Series of Coin & Stamp Sets issued from 2004 to 2006; all were similarly packaged.

Interesting fact

The 2005 Canadian Silver Walrus and Calf coin is a unique and rare coin that features a walrus and her calf on the reverse side, designed by Canadian artist Robert Bateman. The coin is made of 99.99% pure silver and weighs 28 grams, making it a substantial and valuable collector's item. Additionally, the coin has a very low mintage of only 25,000, which adds to its rarity and exclusivity.
