Coin from Olympic series - Europe:The fifth coin, has been produced in blue Titanium representing the continent of Europe. The central image depicts four rowers in front of the O2 Stadium in Greenwich, London. In the foreground a British bull dog appears on the left and a lion, the national animal of the United Kingdom on the right. At the top of the design the Union Jack and 12 stars from the European flag appear next to a dove which symbolizes the union of the five continents. Each coin displays a motif of a kotinos wreath in the surround of the design, which was used to crown victors of the Ancient Games.
