Joan Martí i Alanis (Milá, Tarragona, November 29, 1928-Barcelona, October 11, 2009) was a Spanish ecclesiastic, he was bishop of Urgel and, therefore, co-prince of Andorra. He was bishop of Urgel from 1971 to 2003, cosigning the new Constitution together with François Mitterrand in 1993. In 2003 he decided to step down as bishop and co-prince by age and was named archbishop of Urgel ad personam and bishop of Urgel emeritus.Interesting fact
