Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 5 Deutsche Mark coin from the Federal Republic of Germany (1951-1974) is that it was designed by the German artist and sculptor, Reinhart Heinsdorff. The coin features an image of the German eagle on one side and the value of the coin on the other. Heinsdorff's design was chosen as the winner of a competition held by the German government in 1950, and it was used for the 5 Deutsche Mark coin until 1974, when the coin was discontinued.
