Interesting fact

The 5 Céntimos (Bràfim) ND (1937) coin made of Cardboard is a rare and unique coin that was issued during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) as an emergency measure to address the shortage of metallic coins. The coin was made of cardboard, which was a readily available material at the time, and it features a simple design with the denomination "5 Céntimos" and the name "Bràfim" printed on it. The use of cardboard as a material for coins was a common practice during times of war or economic crisis, as it was a cheap and easily accessible alternative to traditional metals. However, these coins were not widely accepted and were eventually replaced by more conventional metallic coins once the war ended. Today, the 5 Céntimos (Bràfim) ND (1937) coin made of Cardboard is a highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists due to its rarity and historical significance.
