Interesting fact
The 5 Cents coin featuring King Mswati III's second portrait, issued in 2011, was the first coin to be introduced in Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland) that had a copper plating. This was a departure from the previous coins that were made of bronze or cupro-nickel. The use of copper plating was a cost-saving measure, as it is less expensive than the other metals previously used. Despite the change in material, the coin still maintains its value and remains a popular collector's item.
