Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 5 Cents - Elizabeth II (3rd portrait; magnetic) 1999-2003 coin from Canada is that it was the first coin to feature a magnetic core. This was done as a security measure to prevent counterfeiting, as the magnetic core makes it difficult for counterfeiters to produce copies of the coin that are indistinguishable from the real thing.
