Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Pattern 5 Cents "1886 Nickel" (Pattern; copper) 1866 from United States made of Copper is that it was designed by Charles E. Barber, who was the Chief Engraver of the United States Mint at the time. Barber's design features a portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse (front) side of the coin, and a Roman numeral "V" on the reverse (back) side, representing the coin's denomination. This design was ultimately not adopted for the regular issue nickel coin, but it remains an interesting piece of numismatic history.
