The type B lion is taller and thinner,

Interesting fact
The coin features a large lion on the reverse side, which was a symbol of strength and courage during the reign of King Léopold II. The lion was also a nod to the king's name, as "Léopold" is derived from the Germanic name "Luitpold," which means "people's boldness."
