Comment

There are two numbers for this issue in Standard Catalog of World Coins: KM#587.1 and KM#587.2.
The KM#587.2 is, in fact, die clashes. Die clashes occur when the press is active and there are no blanks between them. In this case, waves of hair on the obverse were transposed onto the reverse die, and then this wave pattern became visible on the blanks. Die clashes are described in Standard Catalog of World Coins by mistake. For dies, clashes are not varieties they are not considered in Numista catalogue.
