Interesting fact

The 5 Centavos coin from Honduras, minted between 1886 and 1896, has an interesting feature. Despite being made of silver (.835), it was designed to be easily distinguishable from the 10 Centavos coin, which was also made of silver. To achieve this, the 5 Centavos coin was made slightly smaller in diameter and had a different weight, 1.25 grams, compared to the 10 Centavos coin, which weighed 2.5 grams. This unique design feature allowed people to easily tell the two coins apart, even though they were both made of the same material.
