Interesting fact

The Daguan Tongbao coin was issued during the reign of Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty, who ruled from 1100 to 1126. During his reign, the government implemented a number of economic reforms, including the introduction of a new currency system that included the Daguan Tongbao coin. This coin was made of bronze and had a standardized weight and size, which made it easier to use in trade and commerce. Despite its small denomination, the Daguan Tongbao coin was an important part of the economy at the time and was widely used throughout the empire.
