Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 5 Cash 1803 coin from Madras Presidency (British India) is that it features a unique blend of Eastern and Western design elements. The obverse side of the coin depicts a stylized image of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi, while the reverse side features the British royal crest and the inscription "MADRAS PRESIDENCY" in English. This blending of cultural motifs reflects the complex history of British colonialism in India and the influence of Indian culture on British coinage.
