Comment

This collection is dedicated to the great artist Joan Miró (1893-1983). This is the fifth issue of the series called "Spanish Painters", with which we want to pay tribute to the most prominent Spanish creators throughout history.

Joan Miró i Ferrà (20 April 1893 – 25 December 1983) was a Catalan Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramist. A museum dedicated to his work, the Fundació Joan Miró, was established in his native city of Barcelona in 1975, and another, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, was established in his adoptive city of Palma in 1981.

Interesting fact

The Joan Miró 400 Euro gold coin from Spain features a unique design inspired by the artist's famous painting, "The Tilled Field." The coin's reverse side showcases a colorful, abstract representation of a field, complete with Miró's signature bold lines and geometric shapes. This coin is not only a beautiful tribute to Miró's art, but it's also a rare and valuable collector's item, making it an interesting fact for coin enthusiasts and art lovers alike.
