Comment
Minted in reformation on a 1714 coin following the edict registered on December 31, 1715. This is the last specific Strasbourg coin. It circulated in Alsace and Saarland. It is difficult to find in good condition due to the often poorly executed reformation.Interesting fact
The 40 sols de Strasbourg coin was minted during the reign of King Louis XV of France, who was only 15 years old when the coin was first produced in 1716. Despite his young age, Louis XV's reign would last for 59 years, making him one of the longest-reigning monarchs in French history.
