Comment

In view of the large number of counterfeit copper coins, the Government of the Province of Ceará, obeying the law, collected in 1834 the copper coins in circulation, intending to eliminate illegal coins. There was a lack of division coins in the trade.
In 1834, the president of the Province of Ceará officiated the National Treasury, noting that the coins collected in the previous year were re-circulated, but countersigned in the shape of a five-pointed star with one of the letters word CEARÁ; being that in the center of this star, there is another star smaller of five points, a five-petal florion or irregular pentagon.
