Interesting fact
The 4 Mark coin from Norway, issued during the reign of King Frederik III in 1669, features an interesting design element. The obverse side of the coin bears the image of the king, while the reverse side features a crowned shield with the coat of arms of Norway. This design was a departure from the traditional design used on Norwegian coins, which typically featured the king's monogram. The use of the coat of arms on the reverse side of the coin was a nod to the country's independence and sovereignty.
