Comment

This coin was struck with the legends in both Gothic and Latin scripts combined in various ways.  The Gothic font is cited as being struck a bit earlier (before 1500) than the Latin (from 1500).  Obverse spelling variants are also known (BRISAChI' for example)

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 4 Kreuzers ND (1480-1520) coin from the City of Breisach (German States) is that it features a unique blend of Roman Catholic and Renaissance elements in its design. The obverse side of the coin bears the image of the Virgin Mary, while the reverse side features the coat of arms of the City of Breisach, which includes a shield with a cross and three fleur-de-lis. This blending of religious and secular symbols reflects the cultural and artistic influences of the time period in which the coin was minted.
