Prev. KM#248.Interesting fact
The 4 Groschen coin from the Electorate of Bavaria, minted during the reign of Maximilian III Joseph in 1766-1767, was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a depiction of a famous Bavarian landmark, the Neuschwanstein Castle. The castle was built during the reign of Ludwig II, who was known for his passion for architecture and the arts. The inclusion of the castle on the coin was a nod to the cultural and historical significance of Bavaria, and it has since become a beloved symbol of the region.
