Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of Uthram Thirunal Marthanda Varma II, the ruler of the Kingdom of Travancore, on one side, and a depiction of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi on the other. This highlights the cultural and religious significance of the coin and the importance of Hinduism in the region. Additionally, the fact that it is made of copper, a relatively inexpensive metal, suggests that it was intended for widespread use among the general population, reflecting the kingdom's efforts to promote economic activity and trade.
