The 1991-1992 Elizabeth II (Knight) coin from Gibraltar is a unique piece in that it features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a knight's helmet and holding a sword, symbolizing her role as the Head of the Commonwealth and the Defender of the Faith. This design was created by sculptor and engraver, Raphael Maklouf, and was only used on coins issued by Gibraltar during this two-year period.
