Comment
The Royal Mint (FNMT) has wanted to dedicate its first mintage of a one-kilogram silver coin to the history of the American dollar, whose origins go back to Central European thaler and Spanish colonial America, with the real of eight. The coin reproduces different numismatic pieces that are fundamental to understand this history of the dollar, its origins and ancestors
Interesting fact
The interesting fact about this coin is that it features an error in its design. The coin was meant to commemorate the "History of the Dollar" but instead, it features an image of a Spanish dollar coin from the 18th century, which is not the same as the US dollar that is widely used today. This error has made the coin highly sought after by collectors, increasing its value and making it a unique piece in the numismatic world.
