These 30-tari coins were minted between 1756 and 1759 and again in 1761.Emmanuel Pinto succeeded Raymond Despuig (1736-1741) as Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta. The Order of Hospitallers was founded in Jerusalem in 1099. Its headquarters was located in Malta from 1530 to 1798 and has been in Rome since 1834.
