For regnal year "20", the dot for the zero of the regnal year was rather weakly engraved, and seems to have almost completely disappeared on most specimens, reminiscent of the 1922-D American cent that lacks the letter D. This would have been the result of wear on the dies used for this type. Both KM and USK incorrectly list the regnal year as "2".
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Mahmud II, who was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1808 to 1839. This coin was part of a series of coins issued during his reign to reform the Ottoman currency and stabilize the economy. The 30 Para coin was equivalent to 1/40 of a gold lira, and it was widely used in trade and commerce throughout the Ottoman Empire.
