Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it commemorates the 350th anniversary of the wreck of the "Sea Venture," a British ship that sank off the coast of Bermuda in 1609. The ship was carrying a group of English colonists who were bound for Jamestown, Virginia, but were forced to abandon ship due to a hurricane. The survivors went on to establish the first English settlement in Bermuda, and the coin's design features an image of the shipwreck and the coat of arms of Bermuda.
